Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archive is a planned ten-book epic fantasy set on Roshar, a world battered by colossal storms and inhabited by crustacean creatures, spirits called spren, and ancient orders of magical knights long thought extinct. With Wind and Truth (2024), Sanderson has reached the halfway mark of the planned saga.
Recommended reading order
Read the published books in publication order. The novellas Edgedancer (after book two) and Dawnshard (after book three) are part of the main story and best read in their proper place. Stormlight is set in the same shared universe as Mistborn, but no prior reading is required — first-time readers should simply start with The Way of Kings.
